Graciously hosted by Kansai Airports,
the 18th ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly, Conference & Exhibition
shall take place on 16 - 18 May 2023 at the Kobe Portopia Hotel, Kobe, Japan.
Over the years, the ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly, Conference & Exhibition has established itself firmly as one of the most important aviation events in the region, attracting high-level representation from airports and business partners, and addressing major issues that impact the aviation industry. The event also includes participation from a broad range of key partners including regulators, airlines, and other industry associations.
WELCOME FROM THE PRESIDENT
I am delighted to welcome you to our 18th ACI Asia-Pacific Annual Assembly, Conference & Exhibition,
which will be held on 16-18 May, 2023 in the beautiful and charming Japanese city of Kobe.
The past three years were, arguably, the toughest our industry has ever experienced. Since then, the aviation industry has been on the road to recovery. Asia Pacific was one of the world's busiest aviation markets but its recovery hampered due to prolonged travel-related restrictions in many parts of the region. In the meantime, multiple emerging factors impose to reconsider our same model to do business.
Consequently, the theme of this year's conference is
Asia Pacific and Middle East Take-off: From Recovery to Global Leadership.
Our conference will bring together experts from the aviation industry as well as associated industries to debate, discuss, and exchange ideas, with the goal of strengthening our sector. With a diverse mix of topics and exhibition, the event is a perfect opportunity for our industry as well as policy makers to engage in discussions, partnerships and share best practices.
Kobe is a city rich in history and culture, and we look forward to experiencing Japan's warm hospitality together with you in May.
See you in Kobe!
WELCOME FROM THE HOST
Kansai Airports is extremely pleased to be the host airport for the 18th ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Conference & Exhibition.
Almost 3 years have already passed since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and its severe and prolonged impacts on the global community. Before the pandemic, Japan enjoyed booming tourism and attracted 31.8 million inbound passengers in 2019, making this country one of the world's leading tourism destinations.
After 2 years of strict border controls, Japan finally reopened its doors to international travellers on October 11th. The conditions are now right to hold the 18th ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly, Conference and Exhibition, and Kansai Airports is very pleased to announce we will host the event in Kobe from 16th to 18th of May 2023. Please save the date.
Kansai Airports Group is strongly committed to tackling local as well as global environmental issues. In this respect, we have been driving initiatives to lower our impact on the global environment and promote harmonious co-existence between our airports and their surroundings.
We, together with ACI Asia-Pacific, dedicate ourselves to welcoming everyone attending the first full-scale event in three years with the excellence of Japanese hospitality "OMOTENASHI". We will do our best to deliver a fruitful event that will bring further advancement to the global aviation industry of the future, as well as show you the Kansai region, which will host the Osaka Kansai Expo 2025.
