Abd Hasman is the General Manager of Operations for KLIA Terminal 1 effective 1 February 2022. He started his career with Malaysia Airports in 2004 as an Executive in the Flight Operations Centre and moved his way up to be the Terminal Manager for KLIA in 2010. He then joined Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios as a Facilities and Operations Manager before rejoining Malaysia Airports in 2018.
With close to 20 years of experience in facilities and operations management, as well as being an accredited International Airport Professional since 2013, Abd Hasman was nominated to serve as an observer for the Airports Council International (ACI) ASQ Subcommittee.
Abdulaziz Al-Asaker is currently the Commercial Group Vice President of Riyadh Airports Company, a position he has held since March 2021. As such he is responsible for Corporate Communications and Marketing, Aeronautical Business Development, Commercial Business Development, Passenger experience, Commercial Contracts and Commercial Excellence.
Since May 2019, he was also General Manager of Commercial Development and took on the role of Acting GM for Aeronautical Business Development in December 2020.
Al-Asaker joined Riyadh Airports in September 2018 as Airport Products Director, being responsible for the development of new products for KKIA.

Hassan Areef has over 25 years of airport experience in various management fields. He has been a key contributor in areas of Public Relations, Marketing & Communications. He was instrumental in establishing the Maldives Airports Company Ltd’s (MACL)Vision/Mission statement along with its Core Values.
To promote Maldives during the Covid-19 period, Hassan played a significant role in the development of Maldives Border Miles by involving Velana International Airport (VIA) towards a very successful partnership with Maldives Immigration.
During Covid-19 he was very much engaged in promoting the measures undertaken, which led VIA to attain the ACI Airport Health Accreditation as the 2nd Airport from the Asia Pacific Region. As environment is a top agenda at world stage, achieving ACI’s Carbon Accreditation is a very promising start for a sustainable aviation future at VIA.
Hassan is currently the acting head of Corporate Affairs and holds multiple positions such as Crisis Communication liaisons, Spokesperson, and the representative to the ACI. Lorie Argus was appointed CEO of Melbourne Airport on July 1, 2022 after seven years as Chief of Aviation and Chief of Landside Access, Utilities and Facilities.
With more than 30 years’ experience in aviation, she brings a “passenger first” focus to her role.
Lorie started her career in Canada before relocating to Australia and joining Virgin Australia. In her ten years at the airline, she was appointed Manager of International Airport Operations and General Manager of Ground Operations.
In 2017 Lorie graduated with an Executive MBA from Bond University including a Dean's award and high distinction. Lorie is an active member of the Australian Institute of Directors and became a Graduate of AICD (GAICD) in 2019. Lorie is also a Non Executive Director of the Australian Airports Association.
Mr. Aulman has over 15 years of experience in aviation, having worked for NACO Netherlands Airport Consultants on consultancy and planning projects for major airport hubs such as Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Changi and more recently Kansai Airport for which he lead a project to make the airport more resilient, after the 2018 flood. As Director Business Development he actively pursues a more sustainable future of aviation, through the inception and promotion of projects that explore the role Electric- and Hydrogen-powered aircraft propulsion can have to make emission-free aviation possible, and their impact on airport infrastructure. Mr. Aulman has a Masters in Science (Arch) from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands.
Mr. Stefano Baronci is the Director General of Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific, an association representing the interests of airports in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Appointed in December 2019 and based in Hong Kong SAR, he is responsible for driving and executing the strategic plan of the association and overseeing a team of 16 professionals at the Regional Office.
Mr. Baronci has over 18 years of analytic and representational experience at national and international levels in the aviation sector, representing both airport and airline industries. He is very familiar with the ACI community, having previously served as the Director of Economics and Programme Development at ACI World in Montreal and Senior Policy Manager at ACI Europe in Brussels. He also served as Secretary General of Assaeroporti, the Italian airport operators association, and Assistant Director and ATM Infrastructure Expert at the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Mr Baronci, a native of Italy, holds an Executive MBA from Warwick University in the United Kingdom and graduated with a Law degree from La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. He is married with two children.
Simon is a partner with PwC Hong Kong & Mainland China and leads the Capital Projects and Infrastructure practice in Hong Kong. With more than 25 years of experience, he provides advisory services on policy, investment, commercial strategy, economic impact assessment, financial, and procurement matters to aviation-related organisations and clients. Clients Simon served include Hong Kong Airport Authority, Philippine Airlines, Manchester Airport and Vancouver Airport Authority.
Prior to joining PwC, Simon was the former Senior Financial and Economic Advisor at the UK Civil Aviation Authority, where he was responsible for the economic regulation of UK regulated airports and air navigation service providers.
Mathieu Boutitie is the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) at Kansai Airports since 2019, where ORIX Corporation and VINCI Airports have equal shareholdings at 40%. He also serves as the board of director of Kansai Airports Kobe.
French Engineer, he worked for the real estate department of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo before joining Aéroports de Paris Ingénierie as a project manager.
In 2012, he joined VINCI Airports and became Deputy Director of Infrastructures in ANA Portugal until 2019.
He is currently responsible for maintaining and developing facilities and improving environmental measures at the 3 Airports (Kansai International Airport, Osaka International Airport, and Kobe Airport).

Ricky is a seasoned aviation professional with extensive leadership experience in air network development, operations planning, regulatory affairs, corporate governance and public relations for 20+ years. He joined Airport Authority Hong Kong in Nov 2022 where he now leads development of the aviation hub’s post-covid network connectivity.
Prior to this current position, Ricky was a veteran airline stakeholder holding managerial and supervisory positions in multiple international airlines. Mr. Emura has served as the General Manager of the Operations Center at Narita International Airport since June 2020. In that capacity, he works to maintain smooth-flowing, safe and secure airport operations utilizing the Narita Airport BCP, which was established to present a united front with airport related businesses and organizations in the face of major natural disasters, and by strengthening crisis management systems for responding to a range of situations at the airport.
He is also engaged in measures for the COVID-19 pandemic at Narita Airport. Alicja Gajewska is Manager, Sustainability and Environmental Protection at ACI World. Her role has her focused on working with the airport industry on its sustainability journey by shaping the right policies, providing guidance and best practice on a range of sustainability issues. Alicja works with the ACI World Environment Standing Committee, as well as represents the world’s airports in the International Civil Aviation Organization Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection.

Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Cambodia Airports, Cyril GIROT started his tenure on August 23, 2022.
Cyril Girot made his first foray in the airport industry in 2017 when appointed CEO of Clermont-Ferrand
Airport (France). There, he earned praise for establishing a quality social dialogue, developing constructive
relations with local elected officials, and increasing traffic and non-aeronautical revenues.
Prior to joining VINCI Airports, Cyril Girot oversaw two major international infrastructure projects: In Saint
Petersburg (Russia), he headed the program management of the construction of the 150-km Moscow- Saint-Petersburg highway; he also took part in the extension of the airport in Santiago, Chile’s capital city.
Before coming to VINCI Group, he held leading positions at two French ministries. First at the Ministry of
Energy between 2010 and 2012, within the General Directorate for Energy and Climate, where he managed
the State’s strategy for nuclear waste and nuclear site dismantling. Later, from 2012 and 2015, at the
Ministry of Transport, he was Director of national roads and motorways of two regions surrounding Paris.
Cyril Girotstarted his career in the energy sector. After having worked for Marathon Oil in Aberdeen (United
Kingdom) as a reservoir engineer, he joined Total as an Analyst in the Strategy Directorate in Paris. Later
based in Dubai, he was Marketing Manager for the Middle East at Vallourec, a multinational manufacturing
tubular solution for the energy sectors. He thereafter joined Areva, a French multinational group
specializing in nuclear power and renewable energy, as a Consultant in industrial energy.
Cyril Girot is an engineer graduating from France’s elite schools École Polytechnique then École des Ponts
et Chaussées. He also holds an MBA degree from Collège des Ingénieurs de Paris, a dedicated MBA for
engineers and scientists.
Angela Gittens served as Director General of Airports Council International (ACI World) in from March 2008 to her retirement in June 2020. She was formerly airport CEO for Miami and Atlanta and deputy at San Francisco International Airport. In other previous roles, Gittens served as Vice-President, Airport Business Services for HNTB Corporation and Vice President at TBI Airport Management, she oversaw the transition to private ownership of London Luton Airport.
Gittens has served on numerous aviation industry boards and committees including the FAA Management Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors of JetBlue Airways.
Since her retirement, she serves as Chair of the board of Schiphol USA which governs the operator of Terminal 4 at JFK Airport (JFK International Air Terminal).
She was the 2021 recipient of the Downes Award, the highest honor given by ACI-NA and she is a 2023 inductee into the U.S. National Aviation Hall of Fame, the first airport professional to be so recognized.
Vinoop Goel is the Asia-Pacific Regional Director of Airports & External Relations for the International Air Transport Association (IATA). He is based at their Asia-Pacific regional office in Singapore. Vinoop leads a team that is responsible for all IATA's activities in the Asia-Pacific region relating to Airports including Infrastructure development, Passenger Facilitation, Cargo and Security. In addition to this, Vinoop also heads the External Affairs and Sustainability department for the region that is responsible for Environment, Sustainability, Government Regulations and other Aviation policy matters.

Mr Jean-Michel Ratron is the Chief Executive Officer of “Aéroport de Tahiti” (ADT) since September 2019. ADT, part of Egis Airport Operation network, is in charge of managing, operating and developing 4 airports in French Polynesia: Tahiti Faa’a International Airport, Bora-Bora Airport, Raiatea Airport and Rangiroa Airport. Since joining Egis group in 2013, and before arriving in French Polynesia, Jean-Michel RATRON had successively been Chief Executive Officer of Aéroport de Libreville, Gabon, and Aéroports du Congo, Republic of Congo.
Prior to Egis, Jean-Michel had been involved in Marketing research, then in the Public Transportation sector in France, where he developed a strong experience of relationships between private operators and public Authorities. From 2005 to 2013, he had been Chief Executive Officer of Transdev Airport Services, one of the major ground transport companies, airside and landside, at Roissy-CDG and Orly Airports in Paris.
Jean-Michel had been WBP of ACI Europe between 2008 and 2013, and had become full member of ACI Africa in 2014 when joining Aéroport de Libreville as CEO. He had been member of ACI Africa Board of Directors between 2016 and 2019, and is now, since his move to Tahiti Airport in 2019, a member of ACI Asia-Pacific (and of ACI Asia Pacific Board of Directors). Jean-Michel is also graduate of AMPAP program. He is married with two sons.
Carl joined the Amadeus team in 2013, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in the aviation and IT industry. Carl is currently performing a regional role within Amadeus, as the Head of Strategy and Business Development for Airport IT in APAC. Previous roles in Amadeus have included global responsibilities for Product Management, Solution Design, Strategy and Customer Engagement.
A native Australian, Carl began his professional career in the armed forces, serving in the Royal Australian Air Force for 12 years. Since leaving the military, Carl has pursued a broad range of roles in IT and aviation, including 6 years working within Qantas operations.
As an IT consultant, Carl worked successfully with business and IT stakeholders across a range of industry sectors including government, defence, airports and airlines.
While engaged as the Enterprise Architect for Brisbane Airport, Carl helped the organisation to define and execute the IT Strategy and Technology Roadmap.
From 2013 to 2016, Carl was based in London as part of the Amadeus team in Europe. In 2016, Carl and his family moved back home to Australia where Carl focussed primarily on the acquisition and integration of ICM Airport Technics, the market leading provider of self-service bag drop solutions.

Mari Ruiz-Matthyssen was appointed Chief People Experience & Marketing Officer of Australia Pacific Airports Corporation (APAC) in October 2018. In this capacity Mari is responsible for all People Experience (PX) functions that deliver a number of initiatives to champion and drive cultural transformation. In her Marketing remit, Mari is responsible for general marketing and brand, social media, and event management. APAC is the owner and operator of Melbourne and Launceston Airports, with an enterprise value in excess of $6 billion.
Mari has extensive commercial experience as a CPX&MO spanning more than 30 years across multiple industries and geographies including banking & finance, telecommunications, professional services, logistics and aviation. She brings a wealth of expertise in creating high performance teams through a values-led approach to organisational culture.

Having worked on projects for Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Changi Singapore, Delhi, Kansai, Narita and Hong Kong International Airports plus many more, Sarah’s passion is developing genuine partnerships where operators work collaboratively alongside IT providers to develop solutions that truly meet their needs and ambitions for future growth.
Prior to joining Amadeus in 2014, Sarah held senior roles with Airport IT companies in Malaysia, and in Australia. Sarah is a prominent voice within the Airport IT industry. She regularly participates in airport events, speaking on behalf of Amadeus and regarding a range of issues facing the local industry. Today at Amadeus, Sarah leads the Airport & Airline Operations business unit for the Asia-Pacific region.

Steve Saxon is a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Shenzhen office. Steve joined McKinsey in London in 2000, and transferred to Asia in 2005. He leads our aviation and travel practice in Asia-Pacific.
Steve has worked with over 15 carriers globally, with a focus on China and Asia, and has worked with LCCs and mainline carriers. His work includes airline transformation and strategy, improving frequent flyer schemes, air cargo, improving sales and driving online distribution.

Tony Sewell is the General Manager of Operations at Perth Airport in Western Australia. Tony’s portfolio consists of passenger terminal facilities, airfield safety operations, emergency planning and crisis management frameworks as well as the business continuity framework; delivering a safe, secure and efficient operation in collaboration with airline partners.
Tony led Perth Airport’s operational response to the COVID-19 pandemic, providing leadership and advice to Government Agencies on the management of aviation to mitigate the health risks to staff, passengers and general public. He achieved the accolade of Perth Airport being the first Australian Airport to receive the ACI Airport Health Accreditation and Chaired the ACI Asia-Pacific Covid-19 Task Force.
Tony was accredited as an Aviation Security Professional Manager with ICAO in 2014 and was designated as an International Airport Professional after completing the ICAO/ACI Airport Management Professional Accreditation Program in 2020. Hung-Pin Sun spends all his professional life in Taiwan’s airport industry. He began his career as an engineer in the Civil Aeronautics Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, and moved to Taoyuan International Airport Corporation (TIAC) in 2011 to work first as an assistant engineer, and then senior engineer, deputy Director, and Director of both the Engineering and Maintenance Departments. Given his expertise and professional performance, Sun was promoted to be the Senior Vice President of TIAC in 2022, overseeing the maintenance of existing two terminals in Taoyuan Airport and the ongoing construction of its Terminal 3, which aims for completion in 2025.
Mr. Sun holds a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Architecture, National Chung-Kung University, Taiwan.
Mr. SHUJI TAKAHASHI joined Hokkaido Airports Co., Ltd. last year as Deputy General Manager of the IT Planning section, following his retirement from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau, JCAB. He currently leads the airport DX committee and is responsible for creating a roadmap to improve the operational efficiency of the integrated 7-airport ecosystem.
With over 30 years of experience in JCAB, Mr. TAKAHASHI has worked for both Japan Air Navigation Services (JANS) and as a Civil Aviation regulator in JCAB.
During his time with JANS, he specialized in technical operations and system development for CNS/ATM infrastructure and worked at Tokyo ACC, Haneda Airport, Narita Airport, Kansai Airport, and the Technical Center. Additionally, he worked as an instructor for Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) at the Training Center of Aeronautical Safety College.
Mr. TAKAHASHI has led major projects at JANS, including the Multi-functional Transport Satellite (MTSAT) project and the ATC datalink implementation project in ATMC, ACCs, and major airports.
He also has experience at JCAB-HQ as Deputy Director of Aviation Strategy Division and Director of International Affairs Office at ANS Planning Division. He served as a specialist on ICAO AN-Panels and Task Force activities, contributing to the development of ICAO standards and related international organizations such as ITU, RTCA, and EUROCAE. Furthermore, he participated in the ICAO Assembly/ANConf, ITU WRC, and CANSO AGM as a JCAB/JANS delegate in the past decade or so.
As SVP Aerodrome Safety & Avsec, Alan’s responsibilities include planning, directing, and coordinating security operations, aviation security policies and compliance. He is responsible for implementing security enhancement and developmental projects, managing the contracted security services, undertaking aviation security audits and inspection and promoting security culture & awareness. He also works with different regulatory entities to ensure CAG meets the security requirements to support Changi’s infrastructure developments and key projects. Alan had served as Chairman of ACI World Security Standing Committee and ACI Asia Pacific Security Committee. He is also a member of the SMART Security Management Group. He is an advocator of new security technologies and continues to participate actively in all 3 committees to help shape future Avsec.
As the SMS Manager, he oversees the Aerodrome Safety Unit (ASU) and is responsible for Changi’s Safety Management System (SMS). ASU works with different internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety requirements to maintain the aerodrome certificate. ASU focuses on building a strong safety culture and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to upkeep the high safety standard of airport operations. Under his leadership, ASU successfully achieved the aerodrome re-certification in 2015 and 2019 and also completed the Runway 3 certification in 2020.
Alan was also appointed Changi’s Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) champion during the pandemic and worked closely with the authorities to implement measures to keep the airport operating whilst safeguarding the airport staff’s well-being.
Prior to joining CAG, Alan was a senior police officer holding various key appointments in his 12 years with the Singapore Police Force.

Mr. Teo had also served as GM Traffic Development at Dammam Airport, Saudi Arabia, and as Air Transport Manager at Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.

Yuan-Hung Ting has been appointed the director of Human Resources department in Taoyuan International Airport Corporation Ltd (TIAC) since March 2020, initiating & implementing People strategies on engagement & motivation, human capital performance appraisal and employee talent development. He was also devoting to bonding connections among People in TIAC during the difficult times of pandemic.

Ruud Ummels is managing director at To70 Aviation and internationally acclaimed airport planning and operations expert. He has led over 500 consultancy projects in over 30 countries. Having spent six years in the Asia-Pacific region, he has helped deliver sustainable growth at airports such as Melbourne, Bangkok, Singapore, Shanghai Pudong and Taipei. His recent experience ranges from lead roles for the airport master plans at Amsterdam and Brussels, airspace modernisation in Doha, the STARGATE project for Brussels, Athens, Budapest and Toulouse Airport, and drafting ACI EUROPE’s guidance document on net zero for airports. Claire Waghorn is the Sustainable Transition Leader at Christchurch Airport. She is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand with a focus on international climate law, with MSc International Relations (LSE, London), and LLB and BA (Hons) in Diplomacy and International Relations (UC, New Zealand). She is currently working towards accelerating the transition towards decarbonised aviation. David began his career as a journalist in Western Australia before moving to London and into media relations and corporate communications roles with the UK Consumers’ Association, HSBC, and the UK’s financial services regulator at the height of the global financial crisis.
In 2009, David joined the Western Australian Department of Premier and Cabinet, acting as senior adviser to the Minister for Planning and in the Premier’s office.
David returned to the UK to be Head of Communications at London Gatwick Airport to manage its national campaign to secure a second runway and expansion.
In 2018, David joined Airports Council International (ACI) World in Montreal as Vice President for Marketing and Communications, leading the global support for – and advocacy on behalf of – the world’s airports as aviation was brought to a standstill by the COVID-19 pandemic.
