Mohamed AL BINFALAH
CEO of Bahrain Airport Company SPCMohamed Yousif Al Binfalah is the Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) which is responsible for managing, operating, and developing Bahrain International Airport (BIA) since 2010.
Since joining the company in 2012, driven by a clear vision to elevate and position Bahrain International Airport as a friendly and efficient regional hub, Mohamed has led the team that worked jointly with the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunication since 2014 to deliver the $1.1bn Bahrain International Airport Modernization Programme with the aim of enhancing the airport’s infrastructure and sustain the growth of Bahrain’s aviation sector in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Mohamed is also the Chairman of BAC Jet Fuel Company WLL and the Chairman of Hala Bahrain WLL, a passenger services subsidiary of BAC.
Mohamed was recently appointed as a Board Member to the Airport Council International (ACI) World Governing Board (WGB) besides his position as a Regional Director at ACI Asia-Pacific Board.
He is a founding member of the Bahrain Green Building Council and currently serves as its Chairman.
Mohamed holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Business Administration and is married with three children.
Sheikh Aimen Al Hosni

Abdullah AL Jaraisi
Emergency Management Coordinator at DGCA Kuwait International AirportMr Abdullah Al-jaraisi is the Emergency Management Coordinator at Kuwait Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Currently in his tenth year of service, he heads the Airport Emergency Health Committee. He is also a member of the International Health Regulations Committee WHO – MOH.
Stefano BARONCI
Director General of ACI Asia-PacificMr. Stefano Baronci is the Director General of Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific, an association representing the interests of airports in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Appointed in December 2019 and based in Hong Kong SAR, he is responsible for driving and executing the strategic plan of the association and overseeing a team of 16 professionals at the Regional Office.
Mr. Baronci has over 18 years of analytic and representational experience at national and international levels in the aviation sector, representing both airport and airline industries. He is very familiar with the ACI community, having previously served as the Director of Economics and Programme Development at ACI World in Montreal and Senior Policy Manager at ACI Europe in Brussels. He also served as Secretary General of Assaeroporti, the Italian airport operators association, and Assistant Director and ATM Infrastructure Expert at the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Mr Baronci, a native of Italy, holds an Executive MBA from Warwick University in the United Kingdom and graduated with a Law degree from La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. He is married with two children.
Daniel Bircher
CEO of Zurich Airport International Asia Sdn BhdMr Daniel Bircher is the Chief Executive Officer of Zurich Airport International Asia (Kuala Lumpur).
He further acts as Chairman and Managing Director of Yamuna International Airport Private Ltd., the Indian special Purpose Vehicle the build the Delhi Noida International Greenfield airport.
Prior to his role as CEO of Zurich Airport International Asia, he was Chief Operations Office at the Aeroporto International de Belo Horizonte (Brazil) being accountable for the operations of Belo Horizonte International Airport.
Mr Daniel Bircher has been Director Operations with Bangalore International Airport (India) and earlier Head of Safety and member of the Zurich Airport Operations Management at Zurich Airport where he was also responsible for liaison with Swiss, European and International regulatory bodies.
Mr Daniel Bircher was a long-standing member of the ACI World Safety Technical Standing Committee and Chairman of the ACI World Operational Safety Subcommittee.

Magda Chelly

Magda held several information security officer roles in Asia, and worldwide.

Nicolas Claude
CEO of Airport International GroupAs CEO of Airport International Group, Claude leverages a longstanding 28-year career within the global airport industry to spearhead the expansion and operation project of Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA). Throughout his professional journey, Claude assumed numerous Csuite positions, most recent of which was CEO of the Nuevo Pudahuel concession in Chile, where he guided the expansion of Santiago International Airport, which has crossed the 24 million passenger milestone. During his 2010-2015 tenure as COO of Airport International Group, Claude oversaw six key departments representing a total of 330 employees responsible for various operations; maintenance; commercial and real estate; information technology and telecommunications; security; and quality and safety functions. Gert-Jan has more than 20 years’ experience in leadership roles at major airports around the world. He started his career in airport management in 1995 with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in The Netherlands where he had a number of roles. In 2005 Gert-Jan de Graaff was appointed as Managing Director of ASDC AB, the Company that manages and develops the commercial activities in the terminals of Stockholm-Arlanda Airport in Sweden.
Between 2007 and 2012 Gert-Jan held senior executive roles with Brisbane Airport Corporation Pty Ltd, including General Manager Commercial Services and General Manager Strategic Planning & Development.

Kyung Wook KIM
President & CEO of Incheon International Airport CorporationMr. Kyung Wook Kim graduated from Seoul National University with an MA in Public Administration a BA in Economics. He served the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) for 30 years. With the experience, he gained expertise in major transportation and aviation policies of ROK.
He was appointed as the 9th CEO of Incheon International Airport Corporation in February 2021. Before his appointment – as the Vice Minister of MOLIT – he played a key leadership role in raising global awareness of air transport competitiveness of ROK, ushering the nation to a 7th consecutive term as a Member of ICAO with the top number of votes. Also, he closely worked with Incheon Airport for the safe operation and expansion of the main national gateway.

Seow Hiang Lee
CEO of Changi Airport Group (Singapore) Pte LtdMr Lee is CEO of Changi Airport Group. He is concurrently Deputy Chairman of Changi Airports International Pte Ltd, Chairman of Jewel Changi Airport Holding Pte Ltd and Chairman of Changi Foundation Board. Mr Lee also chairs the Singapore National Library Board and sits on the Board of NTUC FairPrice Cooperative Ltd. He holds the appointment of President, Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific Regional Board and is a Director on the ACI World Governing Board.
From 1989 to 2005, Mr Lee held various appointments in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the Ministry of Defence, with his last appointment being Deputy Head of Air Operations in HQ RSAF. From 2005 to 2008, he was the Principal Private Secretary to Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew in the Prime Minister’s Office.
Mr Lee was awarded the SAF (Overseas)/President’s Scholarship in 1989 and the SAF Postgraduate Scholarship (General Development) in 2002. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Cambridge, UK, and a Master of Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.

Catherine MAYER
Vice President at SITACatherine is the primary liaison between SITA and airport industry organizations, ensuring SITA’s availability and support for committees, conferences and industry missions. She is an active participant in Airports Council International (ACI), including serving as Chairman of the ACI World Business Partners (WBP) Board. She was the first non-airport member to be appointed as an observer to the ACI World Governing Board (2006/2011). Catherine also served as the WBP observer on the ACI Europe Airport Board (2012/2018).
Previously Catherine was responsible for developing and leading SITA’s Airport Services solution line in order to meet the needs of the ever-changing air transport industry. She was responsible for Airport Services financial results, strategy, product portfolio, implementation, customer satisfaction.
Catherine’s unique understanding, vast experience and worldwide contacts with both international and domestic airports and airlines are what enable her to contribute a unique perspective both to SITA and to the aviation industry.

Senior Executive Officer, Deputy Executive Divisional Director of Corporate Planning Division at Narita International Airport CorporationAs a board member in charge of corporate strategies including digital transformation initiatives, he drives fast travel and digitalization projects at Narita Airport.

Dato’ Mohd Shukrie MOHD SALLEH
Group Chief Executive Officer at Malaysia Airports Holdings BerhadDato’ Mohd Shukriejoined Malaysia Airports in 2019 as Chief Operating Officer and was appointed as Group Chief Executive Officer in 2020. Prior to that, Dato’ Mohd Shukrie had led AirAsia’s Redbox Logistics as its Chief Executive Officer and was later appointed as Chief Operating Officer for AirAsia Malaysia.
Dato’ Mohd Shukrie is leading the realignment of Malaysia Airports’ 5-year business plan to the needs of the current aviation landscape, aimed at ensuring the Group's continued relevance and sustainability. This has also led to a review of Malaysia Airports' vision and brand promise. Despite his recent appointment, Dato’ Mohd Shukrie’s stewardship has seen KLIA significantly improve its ASQ ranking to be in top 10 in its category in 1H 2020.
He has vast experience inthe logistics business having previously helmed Pos Malaysia Berhad as Group Chief Executive Officer and was also previously its Group Chief Operating Officer. As its Group Chief Executive Officer, POS Malaysia successfully collaborated with Lazada (M) Sdn Bhd in establishing Lazada’s e-Commerce Regional multi-modal Distribution Centre located at KL International Airport. He was also Group Chief Executive Officer of Konsortium Logistik Berhad and Chief Executive Officer of KL Airport Services Sdn. Bhd., the aircraft ground handling, cargo, and logistics arm of DRB-HICOM Group.
Dato’ Mohd Shukrie also assumed several leadership roles at DRB-HICOM Berhad where he had an illustrious career. His roles include that of Principal Controller, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Executive Officer in various entities within the DRB-HICOM Group.
Dato’ Mohd Shukrie started his career with Public Bank Securities Sdn. Bhd. and thereafter served with United Overseas Bank Berhad. His banking career covers a broad cross section of the industry including consumer and corporate banking, corporate finance and advisory, mergers and acquisitions, financial services, risk management, human resources and procurement.
Dato’ Mohd Shukrie holds a Degree in Business Studies from the University of North London and is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

From 2005 to 2013, he had been Chief Executive Officer of Transdev Airport Services, one of the major ground transport companies, airside and landside, at Roissy-CDG and Orly Airports in Paris.
Jean-Michel had been WBP of ACI Europe between 2008 and 2013, and had become full member of ACI Africa in 2014 when joining Aéroport de Libreville as CEO. He had been member of ACI Africa Board of Directors between 2016 and 2019, and is now, since his move to Tahiti Airport in 2019, a member of ACI Asia-Pacific (and of ACI Asia Pacific Board of Directors). Jean-Michel is also graduate of AMPAP program. He is married with two sons.
Joanna Rowelle
Director of ArupJoanna is a Director at Arup London where she leads the Integrated City Planning Practice, which is a multi-disciplinary group covering urban design, landscape architecture, economics, planning, climate change and energy. Before joining Arup, Joanna worked for the Mayor of London where she worked in economic policy and then led the regeneration department through the London Olympics in 2012.
Joanna leads city scale projects at Arup including regeneration, funding and financing, business cases, masterplans and strategic plans. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and a Member of the Institute of Economic Development and the Institute of Leadership and Management and on the board of a charity supporting young people with start-up ventures.
Sarah Samuel
Head of Airport IT Asia-Pacific at Amadeus IT Group SASarah has over 24 years of industry experience, having worked on airport projects such as KL International Airport. Prior to joining Amadeus in 2014, Sarah held senior roles with XYBASE in Malaysia, and in Australia. Sarah is a prominent voice within the Airport IT industry. She regularly participates in airport events, speaking on behalf of Amadeus and regarding a range of issues facing the local industry. Today at Amadeus, Sarah leads the Airport IT business unit for the Asia-Pacific region.
Andy Smith
Global Lead, Government & Industry Engagement SITA Border Management at SITAAndy Smith has been delivering IT and Telecommunications solutions to the aviation sector for 20 years. Joining SITA in 2007, Andy has focused on driving innovation and collaboration for airlines, airports and government bodies.
Since 2012 Andy has represented SITA's Government, Security and Border Management business. In addition to promoting the effective use of passenger data, pre-clearance, risk assessment, border management and biometric solutions, Andy continues to champion the collaboration of all stakeholders within the transport industry, with a focus on the passenger experience.
Supporting the industry’s response to the COVID pandemic, Andy is part of a cross-business unit SITA team, focused on engaging with Health Pass Scheme providers and driving operational interoperability.
Akihiko TAMURA
President & CEO of Narita International Airport CorporationMr. Tamura was appointed to the position of President & CEO of Narita International Airport Corporation in June 2019.
He joined the Japanese Ministry of Transport ( the present Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) in 1980. He has extensive career over the years at the ministry particularly in the area of aviation, railways, ports, and tourism. He was seconded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to serve as Counsellor at the Embassy of Japan in the United States of America for three years from 1995.
He was appointed to the post of Director-General, Civil Aviation Bureau in 2012 and during the three year tenure, with the vision for the growing tourism demand to Japan, developed a policy to boost the Greater Tokyo Area Airports take-off & landing slot capacity a 50% increase, and developed a framework to facilitate airport privatization in Japan.
He was subsequently appointed to the Commissioner of the Japan Tourism Agency in 2015. During his three years tenure, he introduced measures aimed at attracting 40 million visitors to Japan by 2020 and 60 million by 2030. He launched a “New Tourism Strategy to Invigorate the Japanese Economy”, and introduced an international tourist tax to fund improvements in welcoming visitors. He also addressed regional revitalization through tourism in rural areas and worked tirelessly to develop a framework for welcoming visitors from overseas. As a result of his efforts, the number of visitors to Japan surpassed the 20 million mark for the first time in 2016 and also contributed greatly in marking 30 million last December in 2018.
Mr. Tamura was born in 1955 and graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law, and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Cornell University, U.S.A in 1985.

A Fellow of the UK Institution of Civil Engineers, he has more than 35 years’ experience in the planning and design of transportation infrastructure and has lived and worked in the UK, Ireland, USA and Asia.
With a keen interest in the ongoing development of the Asian aviation sector, Ian has overseen a broad range of advisory and design services for airports, developers, investors and government clients across the region.
His projects have ranged from small regional airports through to major hubs, with high-profile credentials including the design of Hong Kong Airport’s Ground Transportation Centre, Midfield Concourse and Third Runway infrastructure Scheme Design, the planning and design of the new Mactan-Cebu Terminal 2, and the Concept Design of Changi Terminal 5.

Alby oversees the entire retail portfolio, including the advertising concession, in HKIA. He works closely with the tenants to deliver a world-class airport retail experience through strong trade mix, appealing ambience, convenient services as well as active passenger engagement. He is also responsible for the airport’s overall retail planning, including both current assets and future expansion projects.
Alby is professionally a chartered general practice surveyor. Prior to joining HKIA in 2014, he had worked for several leading developers in Hong Kong working on major shopping malls in Hong Kong, Macau and Beijing.
